Taipei 101

The world's tallest building definitely has to be my favorite piece of architecture. Taipei 101 stands at 1,671 feet and is the largest building in the world by 188 feet. This building definitely has to be considered a great piece of architechture. To be able to build a building that is that tall is utterly amazing. The fact that a building can stand that high and not fall intrigues me. Taipei 101 also has the fastest elevators ever made. The elevators were designed by Toshiba and travel at a speed of 38 miles per hour when ascending. The elevators travel at a rate of 19 miles per hour when descending. These state-of-the-art elevators can take you from the 5th floor to the 89th floor in just 39 seconds. This piece of architecture has to be a work of art, because of the many records it has broken. Though not only because of this reason. The look and shape of the Taipei 101 was new and revolutionized the way that buildings are made. Taipei 101 is definitely architechture that is a work of art.
